Because of the roses, my guess is that is St. Therese of Lisieux (also known as The Little Flower, as another blogger has mentioned). She was a French nun who died at the age of 24 in 1897.
Thanks Sara, when see the name Lisieux it always reminds me of the one way system we got stuck when we were there once and ended up having a big row. Now I shall think of roses instead!
That does seem odd. Must be a story there.
