Temple of the Four Winds

Still at Castle Howard this is the Temple of the Four Winds, a room used for reading and entertaining with impressive views over the estate. I can confirm that one of the four winds was certainly blowing on our visit here!

  1. The perfect place to read Sir Walter Scott: "Nane were keener against it than the Glasgow folk, wi' their rabblings and their risings, and their mobs, as they ca' them now-a-days. But it's an ill wind blaws naebody gude."
