Balloon Room


On a recent visit to Bristol I spent some time in the The Victoria Rooms where the foyer with its chandelier reminded me of a rather elegant balloon plus basket.

    Interesting how the dome appears to be resting directly on the walls without the additional support of pediments and vaults.
