Melpomine is the muse of tragedy and Thalia of comedy, they are often depicted as in this stencil above. Or maybe Melpomine is an anti-malarial and Thalia what I will order from the Indian takeaway tonight. It has been a long week.........................

ReplyDeleteI never knew that is what they are called. These two or something like them are on the sign of the Scarborough Taps opposite the Leeds rail station. Yet another thing I photographed for my blog but seem to have never got around to posting.
