H is for How much is that doggie in the window?
A feature of the Three Cranes in St Samson's Square this summer has been the daily appearance of this toy dog in the window. S/he is there as a sign that this city centre pub welcomes dogs as well as their owners, and has become quite a tourist attraction in it's own right.

Well spotted- it looks real to me!
ReplyDeletevery clever.
ReplyDeletethough, it would never fly here - dogs aren't even allowed on patios but they can be tied to the railing if they stay on the street side.
I thought it was real too. Great H though.
ReplyDeleteI too was fooled.

ISo you have birds and dogs as well as the cats!
ReplyDeleteNot really a fan of small dogs, but I do like these cranes.

I thought it was real border collie hanging out there!
ReplyDeleteUnusual name. I thought the dog was real too, how inventive. My daughter in law is always looking for places that take dogs as well as humans, I'll have to mention it to her.

British pubs aways have such wonderful names. Never see name like that in my part of the world. I to thought the dog was real. Afraid the health department would not allow the real kind into anyplace here that served food or beverages. What a shame we are not as openminded as your country.
ReplyDeleteVery clever post for today's "H"...the doggie in the window looks very content and happy to be observing the street from that window perch.
