King of the Castle

One bird that can almost always be found on old ruins is the jackdaw. This jaunty blue eyed jackdaw is king of Helmsley castle.

  1. I love jackdaws, the remind me of those far off days of my childhood when we had them living in our garden.

  2. I am pretty sure we don't have them here - at least not called jackdaws. Nice shot of the patch of blue sky!

  6. Hi there - no Jackdaws in Australia - used to love their voices in the spring as a kid. I think all sorts of crows are always worth watching.
