Y is for York

This is one of the classic views of York, standing on the city walls looking down Museum Street over the River Ouse and towards York Minster. It is a handsome view any time of year, but especially colourful just now with all the flowers in full bloom.

    1. Looking forward to showing you around Chrissy. It is the York 800 celebration weekend too so lots of extra stuff going on including a flotilla on the river, music festival etc etc.

  7. This Wednesday is yours, Deb!

I've discovered in my possession a guidebook to Roman York published in 1995. (I've never been to York, so...?) It has a map in the back so now I can follow along in your travels, as long as you stay in the Roman part of town!
