St Mary-in-the-Mist



The Vale of York is rather fog prone at this time of year. Here is a recent picture of the ruins of St Mary’s Abbey looking positively Gothic in the November mist.

  2. There are so many beautiful ruins across Yorkshire. Petrea is almost right, inasmuch as they come from right here in Yorkshire. I can walk and indeed I have walked from where I live to Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters. Paul at Leeds in Yorkshire daily photography
